ASTON MARTIN WILL

WIN BACK-TO-BACK

CHAMPIONSHIPS

Aston Martin CEO and

Team Principal Andy Cowell

has shared an insight into

the squad's “big, big goals”.

Andy Cowell is confident that Aston Martin will achieve the goal they have set of one day winning back-to-back championships, with the team boss stating that the squad’s vision is to “get to the top and then stay at the top”.

Since the former Racing Point outfit became Aston Martin in 2021, the team have made changes as they aim to work their way forwards in the pecking order. This has seen a number of high-profile signings join, including Managing Technical Partner Adrian Newey and new Chief Technical Officer Enrico Cardile.

The squad also opened a brand-new factory at their Silverstone base, housing facilities including a new wind tunnel which became operational earlier in 2025.

As such, Cowell – who joined as CEO in October 2024 before also becoming Team Principal in January – spoke about Aston Martin’s “big, big goals” during an interview on the team’s YouTube channel.

When asked about the secret to keeping all members of the outfit happy, Cowell listed the factors involved in this.

“Honesty, and don’t overpromise, and make sure we’ve got a single focus – the race car,” the Briton said. “It all comes back to the race car, so what are we all going to do for the race car?

“Set big, big goals – set goals that everybody thinks are impossible, but then make it possible, and that’s teamwork. The vision to get to the top and then staying at the top. Coming up with those tough targets – ‘BHAGs’, I like to call them.”

Pushed on what the ‘BHAG’, or ‘Big Hairy Audacious Goal’, was, Cowell answered: “To win multiple championships, back-to-back.”

And when asked if he believes that will happen, the team boss added: “That’s what we’re striving to do, and yes, it will happen.”

“Set big, big goals – set goals that everybody thinks are impossible, but then make it possible, and that’s teamwork. The vision to get to the top and then staying at the top.”

While achieving consecutive titles remains the goal, Cowell also shared an insight into what greatness looks like for the team in terms of the process.

“Teamwork,” he explained. “It’s an engineering business, working as a team, for the good of that race car.”

Cowell admitted that he understands if those working for the team might be impatient about achieving success, with the CEO admitting that he welcomes this quality.

“Let’s have that hunger,” Cowell added, before acknowledging that he also feels this too. “There isn’t a single day where I feel like I’ve achieved enough.”

Aston Martin currently sit in seventh place of the Teams’ Standings on 69 points, just three away from sixth-placed Racing Bulls in a tight midfield battle.
